Khumbulani as known as KP DEEP MESH is born in Katlehong in the Eastrend, East of Johannesburg (South Africa). As the best part of talented DJ’s he skilled himself musically listening some house music icons like Frankie Feliciano, Joey Negro, Mood 2 Swing, Terry Hunter, Glenn Underground, Masters At Work, Eric Kupper and collecting their vinyls. He started DJing in 2000 and his producer’s career in 2012 creating some interesting works like all tracks included in his first EP on GOTTA KEEP FAITH RECORDS featuring L Messuli. Always in 2012 KP started his own Deep Mesh Recordings.

Dans ce premier album du Sud-Africain Khumbulani (KP Deep Mesh) signé chez Gotta Keep Faith, 3 morceaux ont retenu mon attention.
Tous les titres sont écrits et interprétés par le chanteur L Messuli.

True Confessions:star: tout d’abord, dans une ambiance deep house très feutrée qui n’est pas sans me rappeler certaines productions de Larry Heard.

Dans la même veine, Oh My Love avec la présence de Mbalenhle Buda sur les voix féminines. Toujours des pads très deep et planants sur ce titre.

Plus underground enfin, Warning possède une ligne de basse hypnotique bien qu’un peu répétitive.

A signaler, tous les vocaux de cet EP viennent avec leurs versions instrumentales.
